Well, it's been almost a year since my first 29 days. I had every intention of continuing to be mindful of my giving on a daily basis....and then, life just took over! Yes, I realize that's not really a valid excuse, but nonetheless. Yesterday was my birthday and I was reflecting on the past year and the year to come. I cannot believe I'm sitting on top of day 29 - that's just crazy! This weekend was so nice, simply because I was not in an airport! I reveled in being home and cleaning my house, while still looking for opportunities to give. For example....
Day 24 was my first day back in the office. While digging myself out from under my desk, I found the time to welcome our new intern and make sure he was settling in nicely. I also tried to take the time to actually speak to my co-workers…

Day 22 found me in Washington DC anxiously awaiting gift giving time! I have a friend that's a HUGE Nationals baseball fan and I arranged ticket to a game while I was in town. My company sponsors premier seats at the Nationals ballpark, so I put out feelers and ended up with 4 seats 3rd row directly behind home plate. We all had such a good time and my friend turned into a 5 year old (in a good way!). He was so happy and excited - it was awesome!

I really can't believe I'm already into day 20....this month has flown by! And I'm left with this odd feeling of, "I thought this was going to be harder, or take more effort, or something." But instead it has seemed oddly natural and will continue well after day 29.
