Love it! I used to take my son to Yoga in MV (he was about 7) and there were all these hard core Yoga folks - he would try to follow them. I would bite my lip for the entire hour and I am biting my lip now thinking of how funny, serious and cute he…

Sadly, my son has gotten very few compliments from teachers in his life but I carry each one around in my pocket and take it out when I feel down. It means so much to us.

As I parent who really cares about the quality of education and works very hard with her children -- I am so grateful for people like you.

Day - 1 Here I go

Day 1 -- I'll be out there looking for opportunities!

This morning I started off by finding my husband matching socks. I know - it does not sound like much but If you could see our sock drawer you would reconsider. Anyway -- I felt that this was not enough so I made lunch for my sons teacher and his interpreter - I am very grateful for their help.

What's strange is that it came back to me. I recieved a note that my son got 100% on his science test! Also my brother-in-law brought some delicious cannoli and a mug from Carlos Bakery --- you know The Cake Boss.

Go Phillies!!!

Gift Given - A Piece of A Beautiful American Island...

Today, on this cold," I don't want to get outa bed" morning. I gave my friend a piece of a beautiful American island. Well, sort of. I sent my friend a subscription to the Martha's Vineyard Gazette, which is the Island news paper. I hope this paper will restore her and give her a little bit of that magical summer place every time she reads it.

Martha's Vineyard is a true American treasure and it was a gift my mother-in-law gave to all of her children over 40 years ago. She had been scrimping an… Continue

17 years ago today I recieved a wonderful gift....

17 years ago today, my daughter Audrey was born and she has been such an amazing blessing every day since.

17 years with her has gone by at a quantim speed and too soon she will be leaving home and going to college. So for the next year and a half --- when I go into clean her bathroom, empty her trash,( etc.), I will remind myself of how much I will miss the loud music, endless number of dirty cereal bowls and mountains of towels in 18 months.

I will give many gifts today - so I better start g… Continue

Colleen in South Africa was my 1st international friend on 29 gifts! I made it a personal challenge the 1st 9 months to friend and welcome each international woman, after that I could hardly keep up! Her sister wanted to give teddies tot he kids affected by aids in the clinics(hospitals) there, thus we started OTBC, as she took them 25 teddies she made and they needed 100, so we shipped over teddies as a give, It is a real papered Non profit now, still needing support!

You're more than welcome, Jane....Your children are beautiful !! Don't tell me that's your home....If so, I'm jealous...it looks like something out of a movie...my house is a 100 year old country home, all my furniture are antiques, as my hubby got into the antique thingy, but I now love it, ( only used to love modern homes/furniture/fixtures, etc. ), as it is so comfy, old, but comfy...lol. Will add some pics of it, and a room I made just for my daughter, she doesn't live with us, but when she comes home to visit, she has, what I call "The princess room, or "the pretty room", because in my eyes/mind, she is my princess. My son gets a smaller room all decorated in hunting/fishing antiques - "a guys room", per se'......I love decorating, I should have taken it as a profession, but now I do it as a leisure activity. Anyhoo, have a great day !! xxxooo :)
