Thank you both Ruth and Deb. She is as sweet as she is pretty. Smart girl too in her second year of college studying to be a nurse practitioner. Works several 12 hour shifts a week too at a behavorial hospitsl. Can you tell that I am proud of her?…

Wish I did live closer to Zoey. I am in the NW corner of Louisiana and she is four hours away in Little Rock. Her dad, my grandson, is stationed in the Air Force there. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

- About me:
- Retired educator married to a retired educator. Daughter and her husband are educators, have three children with one married and with a child and in the Air Force, one daughter in college, and a senior in high school son. Son with a married son, a son who is 12, and a sprite diva who is 7 and adorable. He is a supervisor of directional drillers and his wife is a mother, taxi cab driver to the children, and stays at home keeping the hearth fires going. Both parents still alive. The oldest of four children with three younger brothers. Only one who lives away from hometown, but only 1.5 hours away from the family. Spend probably far too much time alone, but after being in the public sector "on stage" for so long, I relish this time. In fact, I love the stillness of it and the quiet.

In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving.
