- Why I'm choosing to give:
- My eldest son Benjamin, died aged 18 on the 8th January 2009. For the last year I have struggled with my grief, learned to meditate, been on retreats and found many ways of getting through each day. I like the idea of giving as it is definitely a way of taking attention away from my problems and thinking of others - albeit for a short time each day.

Dear everyone
I was so touched that so many of you visited my website and sent me lovely messages. A few people asked to let them know when the donations page was up and running - IT IS - hooray and we are well on our way to hit our target. We have run the first 6 miles of the 54 miles target and the next 13 miles is coming up this Sunday.

Since losing my son last year I could never imagine how i was ever going to feel positive again. Since starting the challenge (which I now do every day so I've lost count of which day I'm on) and reading Cami's book - I have found the inspiration and strength to set up a website and start fundraising for charity and want to set up a fund to celebrate my son's life.
i really never thought I would have the strength to do these things. Even setting up the website - just seemed to happen.…

Our 9th wedding anniversary today. I am going to give to my lovely husband. I made him a card yesterday which he loved and gave him a pebbled sized silver heart engraved with the words "forever". Small enough for him to keep in his pocket.
