A small gift today ... I sent a 'CookieGram' to a former coworker of mine. There's a local bakery that offers this service - to send a coupon via email for a free cookie. I'm hoping it added a little sunshine (and sugar!) to her Monday!

I realized late in the day I hadn't officially given for the day ... although I did give 3 miles for a breast cancer walk! So I made a donation for the October charity, Elysia Skye's surgery fund.

Every little bit counts!

I gave a couple gifts on day 6 ... I met some new friends - and gave them each an Artist Trading Card (ATC) since they both celebrated birthdays within the past week. I also brought cupcakes. :)

I also gave the gift of time in the evening ... I was tired and wanting to go home, but decided to stay out for my friend's bachelorette party. I knew she would be there for me - so I needed to 'buck up' and give her the fun time she deserved!

Today, I received another check for my fundraising efforts in the Breast Cancer 3-Day that I completed a few weeks ago. Since I've far surpassed my $2200 fundraising minimum, I decided that for any additional checks I receive, I would have them applied to my friend (who will need to self-donate if she hasn't reached her minimum by October 15.) I wanted to go back to a random gift today - but wasn't sure what to give. The day was wrapping up, and I still didn't know what I was going to do. I recalled seeing WishUponaHero.com here, and seeing a request for an Entertainment Book. My friend's daughter is selling books to raise money for her school - perfect! Not only will my purchasing a book benefit this unknown person's sister - but my friend's daughter's school will raise money in the process. Win win!
