Day 26

Today I made my husband perfect cream of wheat (with brown sugar!) because he was feeling under the weather. I even stirred it till there was no lumps. It's the small things in life.... :-)

Days 20 & 21, and tomorrow too!

Yesterday I picked up two chocolate bars for a friend in FL (dark chocolate and sea salt; lime and chili pepper). He'll love being thought of! Unfortunately, the gift will have to wait to be actually mailed until I get back from my business trip, as the post office is closed on Sundays. Days 17 - 19

I have gone to two stores to pick up a post card for JessIca's class and they didn't have any post cards. Really?Not much was happening on Wednesday or Thursday and my gifts reflected that. Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:: I will start on Feb. 1st because that gives a formal start date and importance to the decision. I consider myself a generally helpful person and I do interact with strangers a lot, but I have never been conscious of these deeds as gifts, or with the intention to connect deeper than a passing interaction. I'm always willing to try something that can let a little more positivity into the world!

What I'd most like to receive:: This question has really made me stop to think!
I'm not sure, other than a general sense of increased well-being. I'll think on this for the next week.

How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: I read the book on my Kindle!

Today is the last day of my Giving Challenge. While I don't think I'll start up another "official" round right away, I will definitely incorporate giving into my regular, daily life. Helping others feels good, plus when you open your mind to thoughtful ways to give, you're forced to think outside of yourself. Only good things can come from that. It also helps you to accept the gifts the world presents to you every day.

Today as I was heading downstairs with a mug of coffee to do a little work (yes, on a Sunday), my husband asked if I could put it off to have coffee with him. How could I say no? I'm thankful we still love having coffee together.
