No, not Disneyland, Wal-Mart! It is my least favorite place to go, but I do my shopping there because it's cheap! Instead of being a grouch like everyone else there, yesterday I passed out lots and lots of smiles and I helped a woman get milk that was high and far back on the shelf. Wow, I'm behind in my blogging...Friday - I played a marathon game of Monopoly with my almost-8-year-old daughter, Grace. I almost said "no" but decided that it would be excellent time spent! Would you believe that that girl kicked my butt? She was ruthless collecting her rent on Boardwalk and Park Place! We had a great time. :)Saturday - I gave and gave in the traditional mom sense. - Why I'm choosing to give:
- For the last year and a half I have been dealing with vertigo, and I have not yet found a treatment that helps. The similarities to Cami's story are few (I certainly don't suffer like she did), but I can relate to being somewhat self-absorbed and pessimistic despite my best efforts. I don't expect my problems to go away as a result of the 29-Day Giving Challenge, but I look forward to a more optimistic outlook.
After I started Cami's book, I found myself making gifts without consciously deciding to take the challenge. I found myself feeling lighter and more optimistic, so I decided to make it official!
- What I'd most like to receive:
- I don't know if this counts as "receiving", but I'd like to adopt a more optimistic attitude toward myself and life.

Days 23 (Time) and 24 (New shirt)

Thursday was the day that I volunteer at my two kids' schools. Although I often don't enjoy the time I spend there, I know how much I help, and that's what matters. I also know how much the teachers appreciate the time.

I'm behind on my blogging again...
Tuesday was election day, and I cast my votes for new city council members. Although I am moving away soon, I voted with the hopes that new blood will bring some positive change for those we're leaving behind.
Wednesday, I gave a private gift to my husband! ;)
