The sauce sounds yummy, Annie. No wonder your friends were thrilled. Great gives of the pecan pie bars, they sound divine. I, too, find it easier to give than receive, but am working on that.

Flu Bug

Well I have been waiting to start round 4 till the flu bug takes leave. The little critter has been tenacious, to say the least!! Has hung around since last Saturday. I never get sick and am not a very patient patient!! Can't find my Louise Hay book to look up the meaning of flu so if any of you Hay fans has one handy I would appreciate if you would look it up and pass it on!! Have done a couple of gives ~ money to Haiti, phone calls to check on friends, but not every day. January is almost gone… Continue

Mon Jan 19 Tues Jan 20 days 28 & 29 Round 3

Monday I ran errands for my 90 years young friend because she can't drive for awhile after her fall and freezing rain was coming our way. Tuesday Called and checked on my friend Patty who has MS and called to see if my legally blind neighbor needed anything before the storm hits us. Also tipped a server and bartender.

Jan 16 day 26 round 3 Special give to sick friend

Today I stayed for 10 hours with my friend that has cancer. Her doctor had released her from hospital on the condition that she have someone with her 24 hrs a day. I lotioned her back and tried to do little things to make her comfortable. I know she had a good day because when I left she hugged me and said, "I was hoping you would stay and tomorrow when everyone cleared out we could go for a car ride." I told her I would be back soon. Not having a job has its own rewards, like having time to do… Continue

Jan 17 day 27 round 3 My gift ~ May have prevented a house fire as I blog this so late at night!!

Today I went to a nursing home in a town about 20 miles away to see my friend that was here visiting her mother. She lives about 3 hours away so I hadn't seen her since May. I gave her part of her Christmas present. Had a nice visit with her, her mother and sister. As I am writing this at 12:50 am I kept hearing a sound. I got up and turned down the Esther Hicks cd on the stereo and followed the sound to the kitchen. We have a small t.v. that has been plugged into a dropcord for years. It was ma… Continue

Thanks Joyce. All this time I just thought I had a cold and was being a whiny baby. Paul has tried to get me to the doctor for over a month, and with my daughter helping, I went. I tell my clients and students Reiki is no substitute for the doctor. Today I listened to my own advice after much persuasion.

Good Morning Joyce,
Yes, having a son diagnosed with Cancer is definitely challenging. So many times I wish it could have been me instead. He was 18 and all ready to jump into his first year of college when he was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma. His life was put on hold and after 8 months of intensive chemo and an operation to reconstruct and replace part of his left arm, he is back on track. We are still in the testing phase but so far so good:) My time with him especially at the Children's Cancer Center in NY was life changing. Walking among such beautiful brave young bald heads was both humbling and inspiring. Thank you again for giving of yourself by caring for those in need.
