I've been busy for several months with moving my mom back to Houston and then helping Dad shut down and sale the house they owned. It has been a long tedious struggle. But all is good. Mom's medication is working and she is acting like herself again. Too many months of bad days with her....it's great to see her acting better! Dad is 80 now but acts like he is 40. Mom is 79 but is more like 150.....such a difference in the two! Such a problem for us!

Today I received an invitation from my daughter, Marlo, who is having a one-day one woman show in New York on May 8. Unfortunately, I recently had neck surgery and will not be able to travel on an airplane for several more weeks as I am still in a soft neck ring...so I shall miss this opportunity to be of support. Well, here I am again. It's been several months since I wrote anything in 29-Day. Not that I have had nothing to say, but I really feel awkward about what I call 'tooting my own horn'. Now don't get me wrong - I love reading about what everyone is doing - I just have a hard time sharing what I am doing. As you know, we had Hurricane Ike visit us a few months ago. One of the things that he brought was a lot of wind which placed debris and other "stuff" on our windows. We had our windows cleaned by a company only one month before Ike and it had cost us quite a bit of money (we have lots of windows - large ones that are high and difficult to reach) so we were weighing how we could justify spending the money again.
