Just when you think things can't get any worse....
After a summer battle with my lupus I was getting my bearings when i discovered my kid sister (yes, still a kid at 54) had been hiding a breast lump for many months. It began an oddysey of doctors, hospitals and tests until we learned it was an invasive ductal carcinoma and she is triple negative. That group, less than 15% of breast cancers, does not get any of the new targeted treatmenst...only the old chemo and radiation. With here…

We've waited all week for the ctas and Dogs movie to come to the indoor theatre here and today was the day I was going to gather up the great nieces and nephew and take them to the show. Before my feet hit the floor, however, my sister called to say she twisted her foot the day before and was convinced it was broken. Yes, I did mean "who." We all know that despite efforts to be perpetually perky and openly optimistic our smiles sometimes get stuck. Our friends and acquaintances see us as always bouncy and bright and able to weather every storm with cheerfullness and joy!
