I completed my first giving challenge back in March and it was fantastic....I loved the people I met here, the excitement of giving to others with no expectations and the positive energy generated each day. I've taken a break but I just had to come back for another round....

Day one of my new adventure was wonderful...

I went to lunch with my Mom and treated her to a movie. It's been ages since we actually went to a movie theater together and it was fabulous…

I've written todays blog several times and I just can't seem to get it right...this may be the first time a give made me feel bad, sad, distressed (see what I mean) so I'm just going to put it out here and let go. *sigh*

Today was a travel day...I played chauffer for my Mom and Uncle...a seven hour trip (five hours of driving for me). I'm pooped so I'll keep this blog short.

Gift to family: I drove for five hours so my Mom would have the support she needed to deal with my Uncle's ilness...she just finished recovering from her own surgery so she is still a little fragile..I wanted to be there for my Uncle as well but the gift was really for Mom.

I started the day with the best of intentions. I was going to have my car worked on and get it inspected...a small goal but one that needs doing....Ugh! I walked outside to a beautiful day and found that every bird in Texas used my car as a potty last night...gross...so I decided that the car needed washing before anyone had to look at it.
