Yesterday (Friday), I dropped of the PJs I bought for the 12-year-old girl who needs them. I carefully selected them, remembering what my daughter liked at that age. I hope they are exactly what this little girl wants and needs!

Day 11: Give a Kid a Christmas

Yesterday (Friday), I dropped of the PJs I bought for the 12-year-old girl who needs them. I carefully selected them, remembering what my daughter liked at that age. I hope they are exactly what this little girl wants and needs!

Day 2: Twilight

My teen daughter went to see the movie, New Moon (the second in the teen vampire series), with a friend and now wants me to go with her. But first, she said I needed to watch Twilight to get introduced to the characters and story line. So, I made a secret trip to the video store today, rented Twilight (it was the last one on the shelf) and we watched it together tonight. She was thrilled.

The Inaugural Day of Daily Giving

Today, I gave Kim, the (very cool) lady who cuts my hair, an early Christmas present since I probably won't see her again until after Christmas. While there, I picked up instructions to purchase a "Give a Kid a Christmas" gift for a 12 year old girl who need PJs. I also spent 6 hours working on a project for work on my day off (it will help many people eat more healthfully).

Help Us Grow: Please help spread the word. We're striving to reach our goal of 29,000 committed givers, and you can help: Send this Invitation to friends, write about the challenge and include a badge or our video on your website, blog, facebook, or myspace page.

The book 29 Gifts: How a Month of Giving Can Change Your Life - authored by 29 Gifts founder Cami Walker is now in stores. You can also buy through Amazon.

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!

Happy giving!

P.S. Don't miss our handy 29-Day Giving Calendar or our cute Gift Note to accompany your gifts.

Hey Kristen, Nice job of recovering. And you are very right. Givingsomething to others no matter how little can really change the outlook on the day. Keep up the good work. JES

Footnote: By recycled, I really meant passing them on to others to enjoy, and they can pass on to others, and so on and so on

Thank you. Dawn put me out of my misery only a short while ago today. I'm embarrassed i didn't see the icon myself, but realize that sometimes the harder I work at something, the more complicated I make it. Thanks.
