29 gifts in memory of YETTY

Hi folks,I broke my 29 day giving challenge chain on the 16th of February when my best friend suddenly collapsed and passed on. She was a generous giver and I infact was going to introduce this website to her the same night I got the news of her demise. I was preoccupied with the funeral arrangements that I couldn't find time to "give"as a result, my 29 day challenge chain was broken.She would have turned 49 yesterday 5th August and I have decided to honor her memory by starting the 29 day…See More

It is 5pm and besides smiling at everyone that I came into contact with, I have not really given anything for the day. Despite that I was tired from work , I decided to cook for my hubby his favourite dish. Why I'm choosing to give:: I feel the need to start counting my blessings by focusing on what the lord has done for me, my husband, my children and my extended family and stop brooding over what the lord hasn't done for "me". I want to shift the focus from "me" and start giving thoughts to those less priviledged than I am by giving out in cash or in kind.

What I'd most like to receive:: God's blessings. After all the bible says it is more blessed to give than to receive.
