I have relocated to a new city in a new state and start a new job tomorrow. Lots of activity with gifts given and received since I started the challenge (including the new job and a temporary place to stay, among many gifts for which I am very grateful). Gave $5 to Operation Smiley Face, and took a bag of clothes to Goodwill. Extended past my boundaries to introduce myself and say hello to a person in my Sunday ecstatic dance group. Yesterday, I gave $10 to a homeless person who was carrying a sign at a traffic intersection (something I've never, ever done before) and $6 to two Salvation Army bell-ringers (ditto). Also put just-bought grocery items in the local Food Bank collection barrel (never did that before either). Feels great!!! I…See More

Because I'm constantly overwhelmed by my own needs for help at the moment, committing to giving to others will redirect my focus on the abundance that I already have, rather than what I perceive as lack.

- The ability to be who I really am in every moment -- and know, in certainty with my whole self and not just intellectually, that who I really am is the power and presence of God, infinite abundance, infinite joyfulness and peace and infinite unconditional love and appreciation. For my first give-away on Sunday, Nov. 22, I wrote and sent a guest blog post to my friend Juli, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. My guest post will likely appear in December on Juli's blog, The Still Voice (http://thestillvoice-juli.blogspot.com), when Juli starts chemo and expects to need some substitute bloggers to fill in the gaps on days when she's not feeling well.
