I mistakingly thought that my friend's birthday was last Wednesday. I had my dates off. I wished her blessing via email and Facebook, card to follow when she got home. We live next door to each other. Then I caught my mistake. She said, that's ok, she can celebrate all week. Great idea!My hubby gave me a new toy: a Pazzles Inspiration personal cutter--for paper. My neighbor girl graduated high school this June. Her mom asked if my 12 year would like to help serve at the party for pay? I offered that we would both help--no payment required.I totally get that Mom wants "to be there" at the party. - Why I'm choosing to give:
- I am a stay at home mom. Naturally I give everyday, all day. And that is why I am CHOOSING to give. I often feel unappreciated and I know that I (too) often act like I am the "martyr mom." I asked God to make me a mother. I want to fully embrace my vocation. I do also revel in "gifting" others. So, perhaps I can use this journey to embrace my motherhood by spreading joy to others that I feel I do NOT have to give to. Also, that I may value my role as mother more. If I can give because I want to (without that sometimes felt conditional love), perhaps I will be a better mom.
