Yesterday we really surprised the girls with big gifts for chanukah...each received her own laptop...pretty extravagant, but our old computer is such a dinosaur and they were constantly fighting over using mine to do homework...so Gordon figured it was a gift of self defense.

today is a big day of giving; it's my daughter's 13th birthday...so we are giving her a necklace and earings that match, a game for her ds, and funky striped knee socks and leg warmers...and lots of hugs!

I think I need to start my days of giving again. I've had a really tough week on the inside of my mind...really struggling with grief and anger (I suppose they are the same)...although I did purchase gifts on Saturday for my girls, I did not give them to them yet...and Sunday, well, I was pretty grumpy and feeling sorry for myself...I don't think self pity counts as a gift.
