I just spent four weeks in Mexico. I live in Massachusetts and felt a very strong need to escape a bit of winter. Ah, but my visit there was not just an ordinary vacation, though I didn't know that at the time. - I believe that by giving we express our gratitude for all of the gifts we receive each day. It's like a boomerang going out to others and then coming back to us. If I give a smile, I get a smile in return. It's that simple.

- About me:
- I am a 61 year old grandmother. My grandson is 16 and my 2 daughters are 35 and almost 37. I have a wonderful man in my life who is my Soul Mate and spiritual husband. I teach Spanish at a private language institute and my students range from second graders up through retired adults. It's a great variety and fun to teach. I go to Mexico at least twice a year for a month or so and love the Mexican culture because it is so giving. I write songs in Spanish and English and have recorded two CDs in Spanish for teaching the language. I write a blog, too.

- Well, I finally finished my second CD, an original musical in Spanish based on a story I wrote. It's for learning Spanish, for middle school age kids, high school kids and even adults. It's got real music, Latin American Andean sounds, Mexican Ranchero sounds and it's fun. It should be available soon on CDBaby. For now, if you are interested, contact me at laosornio@comcast.net. For Spanish teachers, my story/workbook teaches the story and the CD songs enhance it. All are reasonable priced. I put my heart and soul into this project.
