- Why I'm choosing to give:
- There are so many of us who feel that we do not have enough to get by and therefore we get stuck in this little world of our own and forget that what we have is more than what others have. In the end we all have our hearts that reach out towards everyone and everything through our thoughts and ideas about life. The best thing we can do for the world is to change our thoughts and ideas about reality and soon it will manifest if we keep the thoughts and ideas alive. That is what I give each day to anyone around me, now I will also give what I don't need so that others can benefit from it and be happy.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- An electric acoustic guitar so that I can start doing gigs to spread the message of the songs I wrote, like, Success is just a state of mind, things will get better in time, halfway to nowhere, and many more.
I have always felt that the Creator had given me the gift of singing and making music and therefore I am meant to get there. It was only me standing in my way. I am doing it now, step by step, with what I have got, an old box guitar :) Anyway, I believe that as soon as we do what we can today, the rest will follow, if we keep on doing it!

- About me:
- I live in Centurion with my mother. I have been away from my country for 20 years and since I have been back, I have not been able to get a job. So now I crochet hats, caps. handbags, scarfs and little baggies to make ends meat. I also started teaching guitar lessons and it is going slowly but surely. Finally I have started my own band with the idea to make money but mostly to get my messages out there to the world and especially south africa. This has been my greatest dream and I have never been able to let it go, only now am I doing something about it.

I have been logging down my doings on paper, I still like the sound of the pen on paper! I will be posting it all soon, just very busy with the music and recording!

You will find a ton of wonderful people here, just log on every day, post what you gave and let your story evolve! I am on here several times a day, if I can be. Always something wonderful to read, write, or watch! Browse around a few days and make some friends, I am really glad to have met Colleen form So Africa in my early days, we still talk alot and I LOVE her spirit! I was like #434 and now we have over 2500, can you believe it? Keep in touch, we can talk every day if you like!

A great big Hey from Woodstock, Ga, USA! I am so happy we have so many givers from all over the world! Thanks for joining at such an exciting time! I am on the 6th day of the 5th round of 29 days. I hope you have the wonderful experience here that I have!
Let me know if you need any help! We did a "give" in Atlanta 3 Saturdays ago and gave away 100 roses on the sidewalk, it was 9 members from the metro ATL area, we started a "local" group, and you can too!
Make friends, read blogs, write blogs and leave other folks comments! Post pics and videos, join inner groups and GIVE! Have fun and watch for miracles to happen in your life when you do 29 in 29!
Also, look up my friends in So Africa: Colleen, Maureen, Alan-they are the ones helping the children get the Teddy Bears in the clinics! I think they started and inner group on the 29 gifts site for So Africa...

A similar dream of mine, to start "playing out" again even if it's just for the heck of it.
I play acoustic guitar that I have plugged into an amp and effects system and love it. Something comes alive, REALLY ALIVE when I'm playing and singing.
