Sounds to me like you have been giving right along with the recieving! Glad to hear you will be staying with us through more rounds!

Hi Libby It certainly is a positive place! As a newcomer to this network, I have found it so refreshing to be reading posts that are not filled with the cynicism and hostility that often reduce online forums to smoldering flame wars. All the best w…

Why I'm choosing to give:
I feel that if you are nice and do good things for people, it will come back to you. It doesn't mean you'll get money for your good deed. You will get the reward of helping someone and there is no amount of money in the world that could replace that feeling.
What I'd most like to receive:
That all my prayers for my friends and family come into reality. I love them all so much and I want them to be happy.

About me:
I live in Florida and I would love to help people get their voices heard. Everyone has a story but not everyone knows it and that is what I was put on this earth to do for these un-heard voices.

A great compliment on my 29th day! R3-Day 29 (05/13/09)

I feel bad that I haven’t been gifting that much lately. I have been receiving gifts. The lady I interviewed that other day emailed my editor and told her how much she enjoyed me and how professional I was as well. My editor was very pleased. I know that journalism is what I’m supposed to do with my life. I love it with all my heart. I realized today is my 29th day of my third cycle. I will be back because this is too much fun and I love that fact that everyone is so positive. Please stay that w… Continue

Painting classes. R3-Day 28 (05/12/09)

Today I did my first interview for my internship. I met a lady named Patty and she owns a painting business. She holds in-home painting classes. We ended up talking more about our lives than the questions I needed to ask for the interview. By the time I left, she offered me a free class and I told her I would get her some names from the university to help her get into an art therapy program. We gifted each other. Interning is another great way for me to get my gifts done and meet new people. I t… Continue

Internship starts. R3-Day 27 (05/11/09)

Today I started my internship with The Osprey Observer. I was so nervous and they threw me right into the mix! I was assigned a ton of stories and I was cool with that. They sent me out to meet different people in the community and I loved it! I think I was the recipient of a gift with this internship.

Happy Mother's Day!! R3-Day 26 (0510/09)

Happy Mother’s Day to all my friends that are moms! I took my mom to the Tampa Bay History Museum that just opened. She had wanted to go for a long time. They have a little café inside the museum and we ate lunch overlooking Tampa Bay. It was a wonderful day! I also took my step-mom out for breakfast before church this morning as well. Both of my moms had a wonderful day! I hope all of you had a wonderful day as well!

Attended a workshop. R3-Day 25 (05/09/09)

Today I went to a writer’s workshop and I met some amazing people. I really didn’t give a physical gift, but I made some new friends. That’s a gift, right? I think so! I met one of the local newspaper reporters whose column I love and he even remembered me from emails I had sent him complementing him on his column. He was very nice and now we are even friends on Facebook. I love meeting and getting to know people. I love sharing stories about our interests and lives. I guess that’s just the jour… Continue

Hi Libby, you sure have a busy life and all set to do Round 3! Fantastic. Some time back you suggested I tell you something about South Africa. Are you still interested. I must warn you I may get quite carried away about this beautiful country.

I'm glad you are joining along with us on our giving journeys Brad. Sometimes we have to forgive ourselves when we choose to end a relationship where we had children or just another person we committed to. It has been a difficult road for me to do t…

Interesting how people who come to our lives with "bad blood" are the givers of so many insights about ourselves...true teachers...not easy to see the blessings in here, I know. Aside from that...you might want to consider the life in her as a child…

Brad, you did a wonderful thing for your friend, although she may not entirely realize this yet. Sometimes we cling to our comfort zone even if that "zone" isn't what is best for us. I've encountered this with people in my life occasionally. This ye…
