Round 2, Days 16-29 - How did that go by so fast???

Hey all,So, like a small leaf in a huge gust of wind, the time between my 1st and 2nd Round of 29 Days of Giving seems to have been swept away in matter of moments. Hey all,

The past few weeks have been a blur to me... I had my benefit on Saturday night, Rock It Out: A Night to Benefit New York's Farm Animal Sanctuaries. We raised enough money to give both sanctuaries $1300 a piece, and over 150 people showed up!! Amazing stuff!

The Giving Challenge has enabled me to have so much confidence to do the things I really love with my life. The benefit was a culmination of everything I've learned…

Round two has been a lot of fun so far! Giving has just become easier in general - almost second nature to me now. My task this month is to make sure not to take it for granted, not to do it out of obligation, and to be completely present while giving my my gifts.

What I'm learning as a result of my giving challenges:

1) Giving feels gooood! :)

2) I need to be just as gracious and open about receiving as I am about giving.

It's white outside - nothing but white. A little snow storm has hit New York, and Brooklyn is blanketed with fluffy, white snow. It's so heavily coated out there that the tiny store I work for across the street is closed. NY Public Schools are also closed! It's been a few days since I've blogged on here, and today provides the perfect time to settle on my comfy blue couch and reflect on everything.
