Well today I went to Target and bought a bunch of Halloween kind of gifts to send to this young fellow who is battling Leukemia. I found his site in a roundabout way. Last fall, I read about a young boy with Leukemia who liked drawing pictures of monsters. His aunt ended up putting the pictures on etsy.com and helped raise a huge amount of money to go toward his treatment. I bought one of his monster drawings - Aidan's Monsters. Well I was finally able to "deliver" one of my gift bags to the lady who works in my office building. It's really hard because we have a large open parking lot and I was parked on one end and she was parked on the other. As I said, this particular lady always has a big smile and a positive attitude and I know she has had a couple of major health issues over the past few years. I was going through a lot of my things at home and put together 3 cute little drawstring bags with little goodies in them: perfume, hair stuff, skin stuff, affirmation cards, etc. My plan is to give these as stealth gifts this week. There is one woman in our office building who drives a real clunker and I know that she has had some health issues as well. So I thought it would be nice to put one on her car as a pick-me up. On Friday I took off work and joined my husband for his outpatient procedure. It was something that I would normally do anyway - so I'm not sure how much of a thoughtful "gift" it was, but it will have to do.
