Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
Because I want to stop being so selfishly focused on myself and start making a better life for my daughter and loved ones--and other children and families in the world.
What I'd most like to receive:
A feeling that my efforts make a difference in the lives of my loved ones and others in general.
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?

About me:
I am an academic-- I frequently feel that the intellectual pursuits that were so important to me as a young person have become increasingly insignificant-- I wish to work more meaningfully.

I have received a few gifts, tea, coffee and a co-worker bought me a cool ornament for my house. I have given quite a few out of the blue compliments. Offered to help with a few different things. I am hoping to give more and more!

Thank you for talking about your creative blockage. When you have a very task oriented job i think it sucks your creative side. A book marker what a great idea. It is good to start small. have a great day. Michele
