Why I'm choosing to give:: I'm choosing to give because giving comes naturally to me, and I truly believe that giving not only benefits the recipient but soothes the soul of the giver in beautiful ways. Giving actually helps us realize that regardless of how things look, we come from a limitless, abundant source, making us limitless, abundant beings.

What I'd most like to receive:: Like many people I would like to be able to meet all my expenses and a bit more easily and effortlessly each month by attracting clients who need and want my writing skills and are willing to pay the fee.

I also would like to find a way to share the impact this program will have on my life with others.

Day 29--A Gift of Comfort

Last week I started knitting a comfort shawl for my neighbor who was not only wonderful to me when Sean was in the hospital but is going through a difficult physical situation herself. The patter is a very pretty lattice lace and the color is one her her favorites...sage green.

I delivered it to her this afternoon and she was so happy and so touched. This will not only bring her comfort, but will keep her shoulders warm as well.

Day 28-The Freakout

Mt step daughter is into horror movies and works on various sets of shows. Yesterday she was asked to write and read a descriptive script of a project she and her partner are working on.

She called us last night in hysterics swearing she was nervous, awful, embarrassed, humiliated, etc. Her dad tried to sooth her as fathers of daughters do, but her step mom (that would be me) asked her how, if she believed that God doesn't make junk, could she believe all those awful things about… Continue

The funnest birthday lunch

Today is my husband's birthday. Ordinarily I am pretty careful about how and what we eat, but since he's feeling a little down today, I thought I would bring out his inner child.

Instead of having a "sensible lunch," I made a batch of chocolate-chocolate chip cookies and served them with his favorite Irish tea. We laughed and giggled like two naughty little kids, and I could see his heart smile. Happy Birthday Sean!

Day 26-A Day of Rest

My husband has been faithfully doing his PT exercises everyday. His knees are healing nicely and he seems to be getting stronger and walking better. Hopefully he will graduate from his walker to crutches in the next few weeks, then his walking stick and finally unassisted.

He was feeling very tired today and his joints ached, so I gave him the day off from his PT. He will resume tomorrow with a visiting nurse PT. She will be here twice a week and he will do them on his own with my… Continue
