- Why I'm choosing to give:
- At times, I feel that our personal lives seem to get totally out of balance. Giving brings back both our spiritual and physical lives back to the foundation of our beings. Back to a bit of normalcy. Back to a bit of stability and well-being. As I journey through my next stage of life, I look back on where I have been, who I am now, and where I want to be. Giving is a part of that journey.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- As I pursue my second career in life, I would love to receive the support of others in my journey as an artist. Support is not about money or purchasing a piece of my art, but about taking some time to spread the word about my endeavors as an artist. Help spread the word about who I am and what I do. - About me:
- I am an artist who works in oil on canvas, primarily using a prismatic palette. I am inspired by the simple moments of everyday life, whether it be a humble peanut butter and jelly sandwich or an afternoon of tending to my flower and vegetable gardens. Through the treasures of my fresh grown flowers and home-canned goods, I am inspired with a plethora of subject matter for still life paintings. My work conveys a subtle but deeply felt emotional response and an intense connection to everyday moments. Using the music of light, color, and contrast, I create a composition using thick and thin paint and the techniques of soft, hard, and lost and found edges. I love dancing with paint.

A Gift

The past year and half I have been blest with three grand children. During May, I had the joy of spending time with my daughter, her partner, my oldest grandson and their newest addition, Annabelle, born in April. Nico, my grandson, is just around 20 months. I not only got to enjoy, Annabelle, barely a month old, but I also was able to spend a lot of quality time with Nico. However, my two week visit came too quickly and it was so terribly difficult to return to Minnesota.

Hello everyone~
It has been ages since I have checked in. A lot has been going on in my life. I now have three grand children. Yes, three. The most recent one was born on April 3rd and she lives in Montana with her lovely parents. I hope to spend some time with them very soon. When I am there, I will also get to see my grandson, who is now 18 months old.
I can hardly wait.

29 Paintings Now Matted....the Time is Getting Near for New Homes...there is still time to enter!!!

Thank you everyone for all your comments and entries into the drawing of the little paintings.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I finished custom matting them today so that all one needs to do is pop them into a standard sized 8x10 frame - that is, if you are a receiver of one of these little paintings. The matting sets them off nicely and they really do need to leave my home soon....as it is seems to be getting more difficult to let them go ;-). I will try to get a few pics… Continue

I have been drawing with my watercolor colored pencils and then painting. So much fun! I even got a fabulour art set with a carrying case and fold up easel at a wonderful weekend sale!
