- I am an artist who loves to work in a tactile way with photography - making layered collages and photo sculptures, inspired by Surrealism. I am also the director of the Arts and Healing Network, an online resource on art and healing at www.artheals.org. I live in a small town just north of San Francisco with my husband, our black lab Trinity, and our young daughter Anna (born in May 2008).

I just wanted to share the news that CAMI WALKER let us republish her interview with Britt Bravo on the Winter 2009 issue of AHN News at http://www.artheals.org/news_2009/winter_2009.php.
This issue of AHN News is dedicated to CREATIVE GENEROSITY. In addition to Cami's wise words, you will also find a write-up on the Federation of Students and Nominally or Unemployed Artists - a group of 10 artists who took giving into their own hands by raising $100 each, pooling their money ($1000 total), and giving it away as instant art grants of $10-$60 in a public park - all people had to do was tell the story of their creative need and then they received a grant on the spot.
I really believe that artists are a key component to revisioning our world right now. I am really excited to see the creativity being applied to gift giving on this online community.
