- Why I'm choosing to give:
- Because giving to others warms my heart. It takes me out of myself and puts me into the shoes of the receiver, even if only for a brief moment. I love to see the smiles on the faces of family, friends or strangers when they receive an unexpected gift.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- I'd most like to receive an abundant, prosperous and fulfilling life -- one in which my husband and I are doing work that creatively expresses who we are in the world -- work that fills our hearts and the hearts of others with great joy.

- About me:
- I'm an actress and comedienne and love every minute of it!! I wanted to be an actress since I was six years old. Finally mustered up the courage when I was 36! Moved from my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio to Los Angeles in search of fame and fortune -- leaving behind a 16-year career in court reporting. It's been a wonderful adventure thus far and I have no regrets! Along the way, in one of my "day" jobs, I was blessed to be the assistant to the world-renowned writer Sidney Sheldon. He has had an incredible impact on my life. I'm so lucky to have worked for that man, who was truly one in a trillion.

I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted!! Much has been happening and it's all amazingly good.
My life really began to change one week ago today, when I received a call about the PERFECT JOB. A headhunter had heard about me through a friend and she was interested in meeting with me. WHAT I GAVE: Prayers for people I resent.
WHAT I RECEIVED: A big FedEx pkg.
I've heard that when you pray for people you resent, relationships turn around. But sometimes if I feel done with a person because I've been terribly hurt by them, the last thing I want is for that relationship to turn around. That would require trusting them again -- something that's not always easy to do. I don't resent a lot of people, and there are many, many people in my life. But over the past few… Continue

WHAT I GAVE: An endorsement.
WHAT I RECEIVED: Movie pass for an awesome film.
I saw a phenomenal one-woman show the other night, as I mentioned in an earlier blog, called "Fighting for the Title." It was written and performed by gospel singer Delores Burgess, who is a breast cancer survivor. It was so moving, uplifting and inspiring, that when I was asked to write an endorsement of the show for advertising purposes, I jumped at the chance. It took me forever to write because it… Continue

I completed my research at the library today and it felt great!! I was hired to track down contact info for all of the elected officials that govern my friend Lisa's district. She's having terrible troubles with her mortgage lender, through no fault of her own, and is possibly facing foreclosure.
