- I'm an actor and singer who is currently ending a 3 year run in Jersey Boys playing one of the Four Seasons. I've recently begun a solo career in and around Chicago. Shared a story with a friend of an extremely personal nature to help encourage her to take care of herself well. She needed to take some strong steps to change a difficult situation and I've been there before.

I have a favorite diner here in Chicago and one of the servers is quite possibly the sweetest most attentive person in the biz. Her section was particularly slow tonight so I left her $20 in a $26 dollar check. Having served for a number of years I know how much it can change your evening just to have someone acknowledge you in an unusual way.

I had an extra ticket to the Bulls game and I wanted to invite a friend to go along with me. That afternoon, one of my colleagues was talking about how she was one ticket shy of being able to bring out-of-town guests to the same game. So I gave her the ticket instead.

A friend of mine had to put his dog to sleep the morning before we had a Friday night show of Jersey Boys. One of the hardest things about being an actor is when you have to be 'on' in front of 2000 people when inside your heart is broken. That night after the show, I organized an Irish wake for his dog complete with music, Irish Whiskey and a couple of cases of beer. Monetary gifts (splitting the vet bill), homemade gifts (the bread), gifts of time and attention (tour and autographs), thoughtful gifts (Irish wake for the dog) ... well, all of them were thoughtful gifts ... I would have loved to be the recipient of the bread and the book. : )
