Oh my it's been a busy week. Day 12--I volunteered to work at a Pink Polka Dot function. Day 13--My girlfriend called up the night before and asked if I would host the math group at my house in the morning, I said yes so I cleaned and got everything ready so they could be here. Day 14--I volunteered to assist at a Thanksgving yoga workshop and donated my time. Day 15--I gave the person who opens and closes the yoga studio for me for my 6am Friday class a coffee card with a short note saying how… Continue

Day 10 and 11 October 27th, 2008

Posted on October 27, 2008 at 12:31pm 0 Comments

Yesterday was Day 10. I work with the 13/14 yr old kids at our church and we did a social action project of cooking a meal for 35 homeless teens in our area. It was really alot of work on my part because usually we head on over to the food bank to sort food, but they had no food so I had to figure out another project in a hurry. It worked out well and the Youth Center were very appreciative of it. Today is Day 11 and I was by my hubby's work so I brought him a little "lovey ducky" a tiny duck… Continue

Day 9 10/25/08

Yesterday, I gave my Saturday to visiting my father-in law about 2 hours away. We needed to go down to visit him, haven't been down since before the summer. So, it's always a production, gotta load the car, spend about 6 hours ---eating, talking--not really doing too much. We spiced it up by going to a pumpkin farm which was really fun. The kids never really want to go especially my 13 yr old--just a bunch of adults sitting around talking---I can understand. Yet, it was really fine and all the… Continue

Day Eight 10/24/08

Posted on October 25, 2008 at 7:28am 2 Comments

A few days ago I got a call from our local nursery telling me that I had an old 15.00 credit that I haden't used. This had never happened to me before---someone was calling to tell me they had found money for me. Anyways so I went to the store and bought beautiful white cyclamen in a bright red pot for my neighbor whose Dad is doing very very poorly in the hospital. She has been running back and forth to a neighboring city about two hours away and trying to figure everything out with her mom… Continue

Day 6 and 7

Posted on October 23, 2008 at 7:00pm 1 Comment

Okay,so Day 6 I was very stressed and what I gave to myself was time to putter around the house--get things in order, clean, cook and I feel and felt much much better. It's no fun when you run through life having to do things, I start to feel very put upon and then I resent it. Day 7 today, I gave away another coffee card. I had hoped for some wonderful fun stuff, even brought my 13 yr old along to witness "how good it feels to give." Naturally, it all fell short. The cashier at Starbucks was… Continue
