Mildred (Missie) Shealey, is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and has lived in the Metropolitan D.C. area. She currently resides in Atlanta Georgia and has been there since May 1996. She attended Paine College in Augusta, GA and is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

Ms. Shealey has spent the last 23 years of her professional career as a topnotch Wardrobe Specialist for high end retailers such as St. John boutique, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Calvin Klein and Saks Fifth Avenue.
She is also a contributing writer for the Onyx Woman Magazine, online.

A major accomplishment for Ms. Shealey was having her children’s storybook published.
It’s called “Pookie Lookie, the Pink Spotted Panda Bear”. It’s a wonderful story that teaches children about love, inclusion and self acceptance. Ms. Shealey has also created a Pookie Lookie mascot.
The mascot encourages education and fun through “Pookie Lookie Pow Wow Parties’ held at schools, churches and birthday parties.

She has also done book signings city wide, guest appearances at libraries and elementary schools and has visited local senior citizen high rises, with her mascot, spreading the love of Pookie Lookie.

Ms.Shealey is currently in the develpomental stages of
'The Pookie Lookie and Friends' Industry and plans to have a series of Pookie Lookie books, product lines and new character books due out by the Spring of 2010.

Missie’s most important job is as a mom, raising her beautiful daughter Janiyah Danielle. They currently reside in the Dunwoody area of Atlanta, GA.

STARTING OVER

Posted on December 22, 2009 at 1:00pm 7 Comments

Hello everyone.

I'm back. I know that it's been a while since I've posted but

I have been quite challenged. I'm sure that I have 'given'

but I didn't record it to memory so I'm choosing to begin

again. Well, the biggest 'give' that I probably ever had to

do was to write the obituary for a good friend and neighbor of mine.

She passed away suddenly on December the 14th of heart failure. She was

61. After her passing, I found out that she had no real family like… Continue

Happy Wednesday my fellow GIVERS!

For my day 7, I gave the gift of warmth.

I had a neighbor who needed a heavier coat. She had recently moved from California

and didn't have a winter coat. Well, I wasn't able to give her a winter coat. But since I have

been a Wardrobe Specialist for 25years I knew I could come up with something.

(I also wrote a book on Wardrobing)…

Day 5 and 6

Greetings and Happy Giving Day to you all! My day 5 of giving was mild.

I gave the gift of 'Preparation'. I helped my Dad prepare his ideas for an

online business that he's creating. He will be 72 on the 18th of December and It

doesn't seem as though he's aged a bit! Wow! Go Dad!

On day Six, I mailed out two special cards. One was to my niece, a young Professor in Missouri,

my oldest sister's daughter. I gave her the gift of… Continue

Greetings to my 29 Gift friends. Happy Giving day to you!
My gift for Day 4 was a book to my new neighbor.
