I find it difficult to keep track of my giving. For some reason it is not difficult to give yet it is hard to have to think about it before it happens.

Why is that?

Part of me thinks that if I think too much about giving, then I'm not giving from my heart but from the need to fulfill another day of giving and get some recognition.

The other part of me is trying to make the giving a bit more conscious and purposeful so my intention for joy reaches everyone.

A strange thing is hapenning. Having the intention to give makes me realize how much I'm already giving... but without intention.

Yesterday I connected a friend with a potential client, paid extra towards the bill at the restaurant, and invited a friend to come chat even though it was getting late. Today I coordinated a meeting where I would not get anything in return, gave myself another nap, gave my mailman a fruit I picked from our tree and gave a client more time to pay. Sure,…

Giving this way is a completely different experience for me.

Yesterday was my first day giving (with a specific intention). All day I kept thinking, what am I going to give? I knew something would come up at the right time.

When the time came, I offered someone a hug and it felt so good to give it without expecting anything in return, without agenda, just for the pure pleasure of giving. I realized that my giving did not have to be monetary and that I have so much to give.
