Why I'm choosing to give:: I was diagnosed with MS in June of 1965. Two weeks later our oldest daughter, who was to receive her MPH at San Diego State, was killed by a driver who crossed the median on Highway 15 in a head-on collision. I felt she would have been able to help me in learning about new break-throughs in treating MS. I don't want to be a non doer. I want to end up like Cami, feeling good about myself and doing what I need to do to keep my MS from controlling what I do.

What I'd most like to receive:: I am not really sure what I'd like to receive.

How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: The MS Center I attend on Tuesday has a Book Club and this was the book we were to read for this month.

About me:: I am about to go on Medicare but I have SSDI at the present time. I taught Middle School for close to twenty years and had to resign because of the side effects of my MS. I love to read and am now starting to worry about my vision. I've invested in two audio books from Costco and am listening to them when my husband drives me to different places. I feel a lot like I'm in Cami's situation. What I read in the book is almost exactly like what goes on between my husband and me. He does everything and that makes me feel so dependent. I had always been a very independent wife and it is not easy to change, but I must.
