I am always trying to change the world and be a better person. After a year of battling cancer I think I have a lifetime of giving that needs to be done.

So, I woke this morning and decided that my gift would be a meal. I get very little time with the ,am i love because -well we have to live in secret for many reasons( hence I am manifest some light in my life) NO neither of us are married to someone else. Day 7

SO today was Black Friday and I work at Barnes and Noble in Tyler TX. The college kiddos are home all over East Texas for Turkey Day and seem to be attached to the espresso machine at my cafe. I was sitting this morning watching a young girl in an UNT sweatshirt as she sipped a tall brewed coffee and poured over a Spanish text. Day 5 & 6

Wow who would have thought Thanksgiving would be a challenge for gifting.

So on Wednesday I was traveling to my moms and I knew thta my mom and aunt wanted to see the movie The Blind Side, so being the adult child that is always broke I budgeted to take them out to the movies. What a great time for all three of us and a girls night was so needed.

Day 1-4 for the bookseller

So, I have began my 29 day journey.

Day 1= I gave a very special gift to the love of my life so that our time apart may be easier. It was a pillowcase I sleep on so that when he naps in the afternoon in between jobs he can fell like i am beside him.

Day 2= Wrote an article for my sorority's national newsletter that was needed in the last minute and no one could do.

Day 3= Sent 6 care packages to "forgotten soldiers " in Iraq that are not getting mail.

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!
