HI Peggy! Welcome! What a cool gift. I should do the same thing. My oldest son lives on his own and has a fairly serious girlfriend and I bet they might get a tree this year. Have a fabulous Thanksgiving!

- Why I'm choosing to give:
- I have always been a giver...it is part of my Christian upbringing and part of what makes me tick. I was inspired by the story and want to intentionally give more.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- Just to know that I help to change someone else's life for the better through my giving is a great gift in return. I want to keep positive and love those that are hardest to love in my life by making that extra effort to give to them.
- How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
- I just finished the book plus my twin saw Cami on the Today Show.
- About me:
- I am 57...a retired librarian and school teacher. Right now I run a church library in Austin, TX, a book club, a prayer shawl ministry, and volunteer for a number of non-profits. I have been for married 36 years and have 2 married children, 2 dogs, and a cat. I love to read, travel, antique, bake, shop, run social events, and decorate.

As I finished the 29 Gifts book this week, I have thought about giving and yesterday I finally signed up on this site. I did my first gifts as well. I was going through my Christmas decorations and found some really cute ones that I have not used in awhile but thought I could share. In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!
