anyway, i wanted to thank you for mentioning banana fritters earlier this week in your blog. my mother in law gave me a bunch of bananas today and since you gave me the idea, i made banana fritters for supper tonight. boy were they good!
i hope that you have a blessed week. happy giving! Hugs, Dawn
Give without expecting anything in return, of your heart, not your mind, it will happen!

Part of the challenge of this challenge to recognise the gives that are not money, and that are those you give everyday (mioght be why they are hard to remember :)

I think the blogging gives us the awareness of our intent and also helps others read and get idea.
I say secret because the recipient did not know the person who gave it.
They were great discussions some time ago on whether gives should be told in blogs-some said their religions say do not tell what you give, because it is boastful and that it is an exercise in humility, but we do not blog to brag, but to stay mindful of what we are doing and pass info on tho others how it can work. It is completely up to you if you want to keep a secret journal in a book at home-many do, or blog and turn it to private here, so no one can read it, but I advise you keep track somewhere.

Some people think humility in giving is very important.
There is no right or wrong way, we think you should give, and just be aware of HOW you can give in SO many different areas!
Like:
smiles, hugs, letting others out in traffic, picking up a dropped item by someone, letting another have the front parking place, or letting someone get in front of you in the check out line in a store, WE HAVE SO MUCH TO GIVE FOR FREE!
Many times I will give away my stuff! We have an online community here called freecycle and people post things they want or things they don't need and others reply to them. I post stuff, and if anyone wants the items, I place them on the front porch and they come by and pick them up!
I have made jewelry and given it away, that was fun.
I spend time with my grandson. We make things together. We did the "Giving Rocks and Kindness Rocks project together and I gave them away, that was fun!

But I think when you do secret gives they are powerful!Placing a Halloween treat on a friend's porch, Sticking an extra dollar bill in a girlfriend's purse for her to find later! Paying for the person behind you in a drive thru or toll road!
JUST FUN!
I LOVE to place anonymous notes in mailboxes that say things like "MOST BEAUTIFUL TREE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AWARD!", "YARD OF THE MONTH AWARD", "MOST GORGEOUS CHRISTMAS LIGHT DISPLAY AWARD"
These things make our heart sing, and then we feel great! Look for ways to give the creativity is a huge part of the satisfaction.
You will never lack for ideas here, there are hundreds of posts in the discussion string and groups that fill you with endless idea!
so have a great day, have fun and let me know how it's working for you!
