Thanks for the reminder. That will be my gift today. I had heard the story, checked it out on Urban Legends to make sure it wasn't one, and meant to send a card. I will go and buy it today.

About me:
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Born in 1948, I've lived with Cerebral Palsy (CP) since birth, using an electric wheelchair to get around. I currently live with my husband, Rod, in Central Minnesota.

CP is a trauma to the brain, usually at birth, that basically affects motor skills. The severity of CP depends on how much brain damaged occurred during the trauma. It could be as slight as walking with a limp to living in a completely vegetative state. Me -- I cannot walk, so use a motorized wheelchair. I look drunk because of my involuntary movements (which comes in handy at times when I really am drunk!) My speech sounds like a 45 rpm record (remember those?!) being played at 33 1/3. Other than that I'm pretty normal, whatever that is? I was spared my intelligence, which only 40% of those affected with CP can say. For that, I'm grateful

Surfing the Internet, I came across a system that allowed me to send a real card to anyone via the Internet. "Wow, what a find!," I thought and signed up as Distributor right off the bat. No longer did I have to depend on others to assist me buying, writing and mailing cards for me!

Hi Sandy,
Urban Legends are things that go viral on the internet that aren't true--like you can get breast cancer from deodorant or "help find this little girl who's been missing..." only to find out that she was never lost or is back at home. So if you google Urban Legend, Ask.com or About.com will do the research and report. When I googled Noah again, the website was posting it as true and not an urban legend.

Hey there, Sandy!
I'm from central MN too. Read your profile ... sounds like you're good at seeing the positives in your life even though you've also been given many frustrations.
Welcome to this site.
I hope you love it as much as I do.

Here's the official welcome message:

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!

Happy giving!

P.S. Don't miss our handy 29-Day Giving Calendar or our cute Gift Note to accompany your gifts.
