Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
I was inspired by the story when I heard about it and would like to give back to others. I thought it might be a good way to make myself more present and conscious every day, instead of rushing through my life and not paying attention to the world around me.
What I'd most like to receive:
A better sense that everything is connected and a feeling of awareness of myself and others around me. I also hope that this will help me to build better relationships with my loved ones.
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
I heard about it on NPR and in a magazine (I think it might have been Yoga Journal)
Do you agree to read and follow the 29Gifts Code of Conduct once you join our site?

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!

Happy giving!

I took a walk today to a place I'd never been, but the sights I'd foreseen no longer occupied by preoccupations. What possibly could all this mean I took that walk, Somehow I'd mastered the art of the flustered mind and that remained perturbed by m…
