A friend of mine posed the question recently, "What if you woke up tomorrow with only the things you had been grateful for the day before?"

I thought about this question for awhile and had to admit to my friend, this question scared me. A lot. What is there to be afraid of? I asked myself. I don't spend enough time being grateful.  If tomorrow I woke up with only what I had been grateful for today, I don't know that I would wake up. Earlier this year I met a very nice woman who told me that her father was an inspirational speaker who had written a book. "Oh, I love inspirational reading!" I told her and I shared with her the 29 Gifts book. She asked to borrow it, and without hesitation, I gave it to her. In return she gave me a copy of her father's book to keep.

I decided to focus on a small contribution today...



My husband is in sales, he travels a lot and in this economy, is under a lot of stress. Today, I wanted to focus on him and show him thanks for being a provider, a loving husband, and an amazing Daddy.

I let him sleep in this morning, I got up and made sure our daughter got off to school. I brought him breakfast in bed, which he was grateful for, even if it was just a bagel with cream cheese.
