Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:: I'm already doing a Feng Shui bowl where I save all my change and give it away once a month so its something I like to do anyway. I have severe problems with my hips and low back and have been trying everything to avoid surgery. So what the heck? Maybe I too need to quit focusing on my health and start giving to find some relief. I'm tired of being depressed and in pain.....

What I'd most like to receive:: I'd like to receive some bone mass in my spine, relief from the pinched sciatic nerve, release of the tarsal tunnel in my left foot, and the disolution of the bone spurs in the hips, if that's what's causing all the pain. And then to have my normal life back.

About me:: I'm currently a realtor in Western North Carolina but I'm also a naturopathic doctor and mountain herbalist, specializing in medicinal herbs and wild plant foods in our area. I've also been a computer programmer. I like to hike in the mountains and photograph the natural medicinal plant species. I teach classes on herbology and EFT at Brevard College.

? Day What? I Haven't Been Here In a Couple of Months.

I have been doing gives whenever I can - but - in a nutshell - had some surgery - got complications - almost died from peritonitis - spent more weeks in the hospital.....had a woundvac for 5 weeks..... just got off that last week - NO MORE LEASH! Yay! I'm still having in-home wound care. But Mother Nature gave me a great gift today - I was able to go plant some tulips given to me in the hospital. Day 16-21....Let it Melt! Let it Melt!

My last blog was 'Let it snow Let it snow'. And it did. And today is the first time out in one week. It has been difficult to do overt gifts when trapped at home, but many prayers have been said and offered to all those who need it..... And I made phone calls to those who may not have somewhere to go Christmas day. Day 7-15/Round Two - Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

Its been awhile and I have been busy but I haven't forgotten the giving every day. I am getting my wish - we are getting snow! We haven't had a snow like this in years so its been wonderful not to have to go anywhere and just enjoy the snow. We have a hottub so I gave myself a gift of a nice soak this morning while watching the snow come down (hottub is covered but outside). I scurried around this morning getting some errands done. I did manage to give a dollar at the dollar store for a toy for someone while I bought holiday cards. However, I now go to start my prep for an unpleasant outpatient procedure tomorrow. So I will be out of commission for the rest of the day. Actually, today is worse than the procedure tomorrow.
