My son came over this morning to talk to my husband and myself and we sat for few hours and discussed life's big changes, and issues with spouses and jobs and children, and searching for your own identity in this changing world. Encouraging and guiding our children is a huge gift to give and, again I didn't realize I had given it until my husband pointed it out. I was trying to come up with one for today and he said, Honey, you have already given of yourself today.

My day seemed to slip by without an opportunity to consciously give. My mom has been visiting for 4 days to help me sew Elf Costumes for a fund raiser for the Western Piedmont Symphony's Festival of Trees. When she was leaving today I slipped some money into her purse without her knowing because I knew she would not take it from me. So...I was at dinner tonight with my husband worrying about what gift I was going to give today and it struck me that I had already given it and didn't realize it!!… Continue

My first gift was for a girl in my office. She was having a really bad day and when I got off at 1:00 she was in tears so I went and got her a small bouquet of flowers and brought them back to her and gave her a big hug and told her I loved her. She was beeming when I left!!
