Because today is World AIDS, I wanted to make a donation to an organization that is doing something to combat the dreaded epidemic.



I finally settled on Scarleteen, the premier online sexuality resource for young people worldwide since 1998. One of my constant yet simplest pleasures is connecting people. I love introducing wonderful people to each other, especially if something amazing comes from it. The few seconds it takes to introduce two people can often be the gift that keeps giving.



When I do this, however, I know at least one of the parties very well. Then I'll meet someone new and say, "Hey, you have to meet my friend..." It's easy to see the many possibilities, and therefore be inspired to introduced two people… Continue

My MFA program consists of just twenty-three students. Although we are presently working on the same project, we have been split into two writing teams. Although I like all my fellow classmates, I'm particularly fond of my own writing team of twelve for several reasons. One is the thoughtfulness with which we treat each other.
