I listened to a friend with presence of mind today, before I went to an appointment. I could hear the pain and just let her talk. At the end, I think there was some peace, but not taking control or fixing the problem was very difficult. I will learn to release control.

Today I went to the summer camp to pick up my sons after camp closed. They were helping shut down the camp after staffing for 3 weeks.

I ended up helping by running messages to work crews that didn't have radios and I tried to help the cook staff with the clean up. I think everyone was generous to allow me to feel helpful, but the day was so long and I was very tired.

Today I sent family photos to a cousin from our family genealogy. I have been gathering info about the extended family for several years and today I was able to give my cousin some of the history for his dad and a connection to other family members in that branch of the family.

I feel a sense of complete success. The search is part of the fun, but the real thrill comes from the connections that are so tangible when you connect with real people.

I think many of you will relate to the feeling of being in the right place at the right time. Yesterday, I joined this site and today was that right place.

I started with the idea that I could give my talent for Reiki to others and allow them to help themselves with personal Reiki sessions.
