Days 8&9

Day 8 I get the Sunday morning paper mainly for the coupons. So, Sunday night I and my scissors clipped away. When I put them in the stuffed envelope I realized I had waaaaay to many coupons. I made my grocery list for Monday and went to bed wondering what to do with all those coupons! I awoke with the idea of taking the coupons with me and those I couldn't use I would tape to the product. I went to the store and tagged over 50 items with a coupon and tape. Day 5 was one of those "God give me patience right now!" days. I'm usually very mellow but some people like to crawl under my skin and make the vein in my head go, "biddly biddly beee!" Why I'm choosing to give:: I want to give to show others that it takes so little effort to make someone's day. I want to be a blessing to those around me.

About me:: I'm a mom of 2 wonderful young men who are God's great gift to my husband and me. I've been married to my sweetheart for 20 years.
I love to read. I love discussions of the scripture with my youngest. He's always amazing me with his wisdom. I love movie and book discussions with my oldest. He's so funny and we are always trying to make the other laugh.
I love cuddling up on the couch with my sweetheart and watch a good movie and order in pizza. Those are the best date nights!
Spending time with my family is so important. I'm thankful for all of my family. My 83 year-old father is such blessing and I love his visits and talking with him and remembering great memories of my mother. Even though he's a retired Baptist preacher, God still uses him on a daily basis and has him doing Bible studies at the retirement apartments where he lives! Amazing!
I love to cook and I plan on baking more to share with my neighbors around me.
I'm just a person who loves life. I love God. I love family. I love people. I want to make a difference.

Well, I finally got my give figured out for today and boy what a surprise it was for me! I read in a local paper of a man who is collecting crutches and walkers for the people in Haiti. Many of those wounded in the quake are amputees, injuries caused by the crushing of limbs. I happened to have a pair of crutches that are practically new. I dislocated my knee and was told to use them...yeah, whatever! I have too much on my plate to haul the crutches around and if someone…

Yesterday was a day full of blessings in my book. I thought about what I was going to do for my give and I said a prayer on my way back from the store. Well, there on the corner of the intersection was a man holding a sign that read, "Traveling broke, will work or trade." I reached in my pocket and pulled out a dollar. "Well, that's just great!
