I had great intentions this morning. I had a card and set of pens all set to give to my assistant this morning. Unfortunately, I got to school and things were just crazy from that point forward. The day ended and I hadn't given her the pens or even left them on her desk. Will have to save them for another day. I decided that I wanted to be intentional about my first day of the challenge. I chose today, the 15th of February for a few different reasons. One of the biggest reasons was the fact that I needed the week to grieve our recent IVF failure before embarking on this journey with an open heart.I chose my husband to be my first recipient. - Why I'm choosing to give:
- We've just learned that our 5th IVF failed and we are once again lost for answers. We've been trying to start a family for more than 10 years. We've had so many losses and I was at a point that I just wondered what I was supposed to do with my life. I found Cami's book at a local bookstore and started reading it. I couldn't put it down and it has truly brought me out of the pain and despair I was feeling.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- Self awareness that there is good in the world and that I do have value regardless of my parenting status.
