- About me:
- I am a 28 year old mother of 2. My children are 10 years apart. I had my son when i was only 17 and have had a difficult time truly giving since then. I've always felt like time was taken away from me because i became a mother at such a young age. So i guess i decided that I have already given up my life so what more should i give. I have a double major in Psychology and Spanish and work in a therapist's office as an intern currently. I have been with my boyfriend for just about five years. I guess that it for now :)

Today was much different than yesterday. I struggled with the act of giving. I felt like i had run into a 12 foot wall. I was feeling really down and just could not pull myself out of it. Finally at the end of the day i realized that was the problem. I was thinking way to much about myself. I have an eleven year old son who is going through a lot as well why not focus on him for a change! My gift for today was an open heart and two good ears to listen to my son, without distractions or…

Well I woke up this morning and could hardly wait for the giving to begin. My boyfriend wakes up at 5:30am to go to work and i got out of bed before he walked out the door and gave him a kiss. Not just any kiss, you know one of those ones you really mean!! I don't remember the last time i 've done that.
At night before my son went to sleep, I jotted down a picture of a cheerleader and wrote, You can do it!! Put a little power to it!!! and at the bottom i wrote I believe in…

Oh I love the gifts - a long needed kiss, and the sticky note (I'm gonna use that one!) The book is a must read....very good. I'm excited too. I gave my first gift last night. I decided it needed to go to my husband who's had a rocky time of it lately. I gave him a massage. He usually rubs my back so nice and then I fall asleep, and I seldom reciprocate....so I thought it would be the perfect gift. And, today, I just back these really yummy cherry bars and I'm going to take them to a meeting I have this afternoon. I don't know this group of people all that well, and I know they will be very surprised to be getting treats at this meeting. Funny how excited I am about such a simple gift. Hope to learn more. Hello,
I just joined the Gift giving project today too! Read the book and loved it! Looking foward to what lies ahead :) I was a teen mom too, so we have something in common. I have two adult children and an 8 year old - and yes, the little guy was planned! Although the first two were not necessarily expected - ha! Funny how life changes. Challenges...ups and downs....and no matter it seems to be exciting all along the way. Isn't it exciting to think what might happen in the midst of this gift giving. Keep me updated!
