Today I am giving myself a gift. I am going to a Mom's Night Out party. For some this is a usual occurrence not a gift but for me it is. I have an anxiety disorder which normally leads me to talk myself out of going out when I don't know the people very well. I will a make up excuses either for me or for them to avoid the situation completely and I almost always feel depresses afterward.

I don't know what to say about this week. I have thought about this challenge and given at least one gift each day. A few were tangible things, most were not. I made a conscious effort to not take the easy way out. To remember that saying yes ,when no is usually so much easier, is a gift in itself. I stayed home all week and worked on little projects. I wanted to send my friend flowers for her birthday but I can't afford them. I found these gc and thought I could send $25 worth of flowers but I can't you have to spend $75 to get the $25 off and I don't have $50 bucks so I'm S.O.L.

Days 3&4 - again

I wrote this whole thing, clicked "publish post" and lost my connection. ugh.
Friday was day 3. I packed up a bunch of fabric that I had been storing in my closet. This was really nice stuff that I had bought for specific outfits my mom was going to sew for me but her machine broke.....like 3 years ago. Anyway, I figured someone else could make better use of it. I put it in a big back and brought it, along with 2 large throw pillows and a bed rail to a thrift store that donates… Continue

My gift for today was a contribution to support Team Nova. I sold a few things on my mommies board and donated the money to the AHA. Actually, I haven't dropped the items off and received the money yet but the anticipation was killing me. I set have a personal goal set to raise $300 and my total was sitting at $0.
