Why I'm choosing to give:: Every day is a good day to give. Giving helps to remind us of how much we really have to offer. It also helps us to be thankful for what blessings we have. I love the idea of giving something to someone every day to help spread kindness. It would be great if that sparks others to pay it forward as well.

What I'd most like to receive:: The feeling of joy every day for making someone's day better in some small way. I've always found it is the little things that makes the most heart-felt difference.

Money "plant" for Mother's Day

Today I was in the mood to go into stealth mode and "plant" some money in my local Walgreen's. I took a $5 bill and wrote "Love, 29gifts.org" on the front and back. I then folded it in half so that the written words were visible. I went to the greeting card aisle and looked for a pretty Mother's Day card. I found the perfect card and tucked half of the bill inside, with the other half showing the words folded over the top of the card. This made it easy for someone to spot. He is listening to music with joy. The last word I whispered in his ear before his surgery was Jesus as his the first word I whispered in his ear after his implant.

I am so grateful for this wonderful technology and pray some day we (or biomedical engineers like my daughter is aspiring to be) will find a treatment and cure for rheumatoid arthritis.
