Being a proud Canadian, I find it hard to fathom that in the US, you can;t just go to the hospital and get treated for what ever is wrong. Our system is not perfect here in Canada ( we still have to pay for medications, cancer treatments, insulin,…

December 1 already!

This year has flown by! The gifts 've given over the past few days included listening to a friend, showing patience, feeding hungry teens after school, and being open to people. I've also passed the word on about the web site to people who could use a spiritual boost.

Showing Patience with people... That's my biggest down fall

Being a new teacher has its moments. I have a very difficult time having patience with people, especially after having explained the same thing 10 times. I find it fustrating when my students don't grasp the concepts. I do celebrate when they "get" what i've been teaching. My give today, was making some phone calls and ensuring that someone's needs were being meet. I also took my landlady's dog for a walk ( but I think the give was actually for me).See More

It's been about a year.

Its been just about a year since I joined here and i can honestly say that when I give I get back a thousand fold. When I don't give my life feels unfufilled.A small example I decided that today was "stop smoking day". A friend gave me a brand new box of nicorette on Sunday.I'm thankful for this site and the small things that i can do to help change my corner of the universe.See More

W5 talks about MS and new treatment possibilities

Posted on November 22, 2009 at 3:58am 4 Comments

Last night I was watching W5 ( its a Canadian news show), and they were talking to a Doctor in Italy who is using an angioplasty technique on the jugular veins ( for patients with MS he noticed a correlation between the narrowing of the jugular vein and MS) , and the patients are showing amazing results. I think the process is called "Liberata".

I'm not sure if anyone has talked about this on 29 gifts yet, but i thought that I'd pass the information on.

Simple gives

Posted on November 21, 2009 at 2:05pm 2 Comments

I worked @ my pt job yesterday and my give was to stay late so someone else could leave early. My gift back was some much needed extra cash.

Today was give was a book i had in my purse to the local library. What I got in return? 25,000 Optimum points for driving someone to Shoppers Drug Mart. I'm very close to receiving 150.00 worth of free stuff before Christmas.

My give is planned for tomorrow, items for the food bank.

We did a "give" in Atlanta a few months ago and gave away 100 roses on a sidewalk, it was 9 members from the metro ATL area, we started a "local" group, and you can start or join one too!
Make friends, read blogs, write blogs and leave other folks comments! Post pics and videos, join inner groups and GIVE! Have fun and watch for miracles to happen in your life when you do 29 in 29! Hope to see you around in the site!
