Days 12 & 13: Weekend Review

I spent an amazing weekend participating in my county's RELAY FOR LIFE. As the co-chair of my team, I felt like I "gave" a lot. A lot of energy, a lot of donations, a lot of time. But, I loved every minute.
On Friday, as I prepared for the Saturday morning event, I whipped up a batch of cupcakes. I decorated some with a purple ribbon and others with our school initials. I brought 24 of them to share…

Today's giving was easy. I can't believe I'm already 7 days in!
On Wednesday I sent a card to my Dad for Father's Day. I am still bummed that I can't be there to see him on Father's Day but he assures me that this is a part of growing up.

The parent of one of my former students called the other day. She said she was 'in a pinch' so I called her right back. Her babysitter cancelled on her and she asked if I could watch her 7 year old and 2 year old on Saturday night. I was happy to do so since she has wonderful kids, is a wonderful person herself and I know that she and her husband deserve a night out... after all... they're celebrating their 10th anniversary!
