Becoming Part of the Solution!

Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
I am choosing to give because I believe when we give - we truly do receive. Looking for different ways to give is always a fun way to help others while helping ourselves.
What I'd most like to receive:
I would like to receive what the universe has to offer without me putting obstacles in the way. To learn better ways to show love for my fellow human beings and have compassion for myself for not being perfect.
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
IMOW.org
About me:
I am just now realizing my own human potential as a woman. Health issues combined with an emotionally destructive divorce left me paralyzed. Fear of the unknown - who am I without someone to love. How will I raise my son's as a single parent? So many doubts, questions and fears to sort through one by one. My assumption was that I was worthless and useless without the love of my spouse/mate/lover. Thank goodness father time does heal all wounds.

I believe true change comes from within. I try daily to exhibit the changes I have found positive and productive through a series of communication channels, beginning with my own thoughts & words. Taking judgment out of my vocabulary and working to find solutions for destructive behavioral patterns.

I'm passionate about:

Change – Growth – Independence – Interdependence - Oneness I believe, as those before me that “love” is the answer. Love thyself through: ! Healthy lifestyle changes --> YOGA ! Continued Mental/Physical/Spiritual Growth ! An Openness - Fearlessness to Sharing & Receiving ! Reviewing/Exploring/Implementing/Discarding what each day brings with a childlike innocence gently shaped with increased & timeless wisdom. Love thy Neighbor through: ! Seeing through a mother eyes-those of non-judgmental, faith filled, loving eyes! ! Prayerfully doing what needs to be done. Life provides the opportunities, we make the choices, and the wind carries it away. ! Share yourself with the universe – don’t be stingy. The world needs LOVE.

Now the rest of the story...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
PERSONAL:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am a human, daughter, woman, sister, mother, friend, lover. I have traveled and been stationary. Teacher & student simultaneously. I have lived, loved, laughed, cried, screamed, been alone and had the pleasure of feeling the molecular universal hug from God and the universe and KNOWING I am never alone!

As a breast cancer survivor, I was forced to confront the enemy - and to my own amazement, it was ME! Re-evaluation on my entire life began with the introduction of Yoga and its philosophies and a reconnection with the GO(o)D. From that discovery point I have begun taking my infant steps back into the arms of a "welcoming humanity!"

PREVENTION not Treatment : Patient HEAL-thy SELF

We can no longer avoid the TRUTH! The truth is YOU have to get involved with your health care. The TRUTH is you cannot continue to accept what manufacturers put in your food / water supplies. The TRUTH is killing you! What are you going to do about it?
We seek to bring awareness to a much more economically sound way to live -- not to mention all the other body / mind / soul befits of being healthy.

PREVENTION not Treatment

When a study is completed and the numbers are on down on paper - all columns balanced, I would imagine the amount of money that is made "off" of people being sick is astounding! When we examine our diseased human body we find toxins. For those with an investigative nature or those who perhaps cannot afford to BE sick the answer becomes a simple one.

PREVENTION not Treatment.

A complete program of health & wellness instruction will need to implement into schools where children & adults are becoming more and more inactive. For our youth, they are fed what is allowed, but are they fed foods that are free from pesticides or other cancer causing agents? We already know many of these same children are going to get cancer or some other disease which can be at a minimum partially attributed to our food / water supply. It's just a matter of time, a calculated risk. A GAMBLE with your life! Last year I volunteered for the ACS and one of our biggest fundraisers was, candy! I raise money by selling candy and feed people
something that will probably assist in their own disease experience (diabetes / obesity / high blood pressure / heart attack / cancers) We do not always see our part in contributing to the problem. Yet, if you are trying to raise funds - you have to sell something that people want. Supply / demand.

Yet if people began understanding through education that the food & drink that we are used to consuming, may not really be that good for us and if we make a change willingly and early enough we can prevent most diseases all together. There are MANY organizations, providing natural healing around the world that could teach how to prevent disease, slow aging and generally feel good and live a long happy life. Perhaps, if change.org readers can show the industry that they actually do care about what goes in / on / around their body

because enough information has been made available to support these facts! We have homeopathic universities ... but they can't be taken seriously - too much money to lose if we taught people how to heal themselves through diet, exercise, meditation / prayer and positive thoughts & actions.

This is not going to be an easy change, but it can be done! I believe that it is time for the PEOPLE to recognize and take responsibility for their role and contribution to their current mental & physical health! Then, teach them how to keep, at a minimum their body in better working condition. But more importantly, I believe we =should examine how much money is made on the toxins that are secretly
(or knowingly like fluoride) put in our food and water supplies.

Day 14: An ONLINE Thank YOU

Posted on November 5, 2008 at 6:00am 3 Comments

How do you thank someone or a group of people who are making a difference and helping co-create and change the world? Hmmmm....I decided that today I would take a moment out of my busy "giving" day.. ( wink ) and properly thank some individuals for providing a safe environment to learn how to lose fear and embrace the world again with loving arms. How they did it? When I was going through cancer, I was pretty much isolated from the world. Physically, I was sick, weak and unable to fight… Continue

Thanks - its good to have a kindred spirit. This year I hope to continue growing through giving, using yoga to stay calm and focused and develop my body awareness/self-image, and express myself through art and writing (not just blogging). I hope to have touched the world a little during this journey and to affect a greater change with God's help (and a little help and encouragement from my friends.) Thanks for being there with your positive friendship - today was one of those days that I needed it most. My wish for you is that you will always find encouragement when you need it most.
