I have discovered that many equate offering a gift or exchanging a kind act toward someone solely based on a materialistic value. I truly feel a simple hello to a stranger along with a smile could be the difference to someone who may be invisible to society. I have done random acts of kindness for it is my nature but the other day I was compel to let a father and his daughter know I saw the bond and the closeness of the two as the father was rebuilding a small block wall in the complex I live.…See More

- Why I'm choosing to give:
- Throughout my life I have always been a giver and knew of the power of giving or as I call it serving. I would like to network with people of the same heart and spirit. I am dealing with the illness of my mom (stage 4 )bladder cancer and earlier this year the death of my oldest brother to pancreatic cancer. My father, who was my best friend died 5 years ago to heart failure. I want to always pay tribute to them through my giving. I now have some sort of connection to why I give and I will use this purpose to expand my vision of a bigger gift to the world.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- I must answer this truthfully, I am not use to receiving so I expect nothing . I give with no expectations. I surrendered to the power of Gods love many years ago and I walk this journey with excitement and wonderment for I know every day is a gift.
- How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
- I read an article on CNN about several hospitals in Atlanta GA. having volunteers sit with sickly kids and due to the love and the touching the kids have responded well. I have fraternal twins who wore 1lb 8 ounces and the other 1 lb nine ounces. They are now 23 years old and are beautiful adults.
- About me:
- I have found my calling in life. I am working on building an elite senior community and medical center in Hawaii. I just wanted to pay tribute to my parents for their unconditional love. I believe what greater gift I could bestow on seniors is love, caring and honor on behalf of my parents. I get to show my appreciation of their impact on my life daily with people I get keep their memory alive.
